Stay closer to nature
In your own time, explore 173 acres of flora and fauna at 42 Acres, including the ancient woodlands, lakes and meadows. If you want more adventure, there's a range of beautiful public walks in the area.
Go for a wander. Let curiosity guide your way to discovery. You might end up discovering the secret treehouse along your way.
42 Acres is a wildlife sanctuary. We enjoy an abundance of both rare and common creatures from sky to water including barn owls, hares, wild boar, pine martens, otters, beavers and so much more! The longer you are still the more you see.
There's always an opportunity to get involved and learn more about our biodynamic and permaculture inspired vegetable gardens. We use heirloom varieties and no dig principles to grow nutritious food second to none. We invite you to help out, get your hands dirty or pick yourself some fresh vegetables for lunch.
Enjoy a dip in our 7 acre lake! Year round, a great way to start the day, refresh and revitalise your body with a serene swim surrounded by nature.
42 Acres is an exceptional place. The atmosphere allowed us to fully engage with our retreat and enabled a perspective that would have been almost impossible to gain elsewhere.

The grounds are beautiful, we went on lovely walks & spotted all sorts of animals which my daughter loved. The interiors are such high quality. Everything was super clean. We'd definitely stay again.
