Experience how we grow food in harmony with nature
Join our Head Grower, Dave McKenna in our no-till, organic produce garden and learn how and why we grow fruit and veg in a way that increases the biodiversity - working with and as nature
We believe that as we cultivate and restore health in our soils, we cultivate and restore the worlds within ourselves. Dave will share how we use permaculture principles to create wholesome, nutrient-dense food in a way that serves the health of people and the planet.
You’ll have the opportunity harvest and taste seasonal produce fresh from the garden and to ask questions about growing, soil health, regenerative farming and our circular composting system that ensures food waste/nutrients are returned to the land
You may even be able to harvest something take back for the chefs to prepare for your next meal, and (subject to availability) order a veg box to take a piece of 42 home with you when you leave.
David is the Head Grower at 42 Acres produce garden, having worked in fruit and veg production for many years. He studied ecology at Uni and is passionate about soil health. He ultimately moved into farming where he felt he could make the most difference. Dave loves sharing his knowledge and experience so come find him in the produce garden.
