Spring Renewal Retreat

Imagine having the bank holiday weekend just for yourself, taking time for YOU to relax, reset and revitalise in preparation for the summer. . .

Perhaps you’re simply curious about detox and why it is so important? What it is exactly and how you can add detoxifying foods and techniques to your lifestyle?

Detox is the perfect healing tool:

  • For more energy & vitality
  • For quick & safe weight loss
  • For radiant skin & hair
  • For a clear & focus mind
  • For better sleep
  • To purify all cells
  • To break unhealthy eating habits
  • To improve fertility
  • To improve overall health & wellbeing

Why detox in Spring?

By choosing to detox in the Spring, we are helping the body get rid of the accumulated damp from the winter months. We are giving support for the body to do its natural detoxification process efficiently, which decreases the likelihood of coming down with a seasonal cold or experiencing hay fever and other allergies.

.  . .

Our retreat has been designed to give you that much deserved time and space to reclaim your vitality. The music, smells and food throughout the whole weekend will be carefully chosen to enhance your senses.

42 Acres centre will add magic to your experience. We will connect with nature and the elements and together, go on a journey of discovery: releasing what is ready to go and nourishing the New You.

You will leave the retreat feeling light, refreshed & empowered. Your heart and soul will be filled with light & warmth to support your Growth into Summer.

Carloyne Ji

Carolyne is an integrative therapist with over a decade combined experience in bodywork therapy, yoga and naturopathy nutrition, specialising in detox & cleansing techniques.

She has seen how amazing one feels after a detox and has experienced the wonderful benefits of detox again and again. Detox is an essential tool for everyone to discover, experience and to know for life.

At the age of 7 she went home from school with one lesson well learned: we need to eat a colourful plate of food to be healthy! She took that seriously and made her family eat a colourful plate of food everyday, religiously.

During her teens she was always researching about natural beauty products and tips to enhance her wellbeing.

Her passion for dance, movement, the healing arts and self development inspired her to study holistic massage therapy in 2006. Since then, she has been a dedicated therapist trained in various styles of massages and reiki delivering treatments to a diverse range of clientèle in a variety of environments.

Willing to help her clients further she completed a 3 year Naturopathy Nutrition course in November 2012 with The Nutritional Healing Foundation in the UK. During the course she experienced many different diets, detoxification methods and many cleansing & nourishing techniques. Eating according to what suited her body and mind best has enhanced her physical, emotional, mental & spiritual levels.

In early 2013 she spent 2 months in India exploring Yoga and Ayurveda philosophy. As an accredited 200hr Yoga Teacher she gained experience in Pranayama, meditation, yoga philosophy, yoga asanas, Ayurveda and Panchakarma.

Since September 2017, she has been studying to become a WuTao Dance Teacher: a therapeutic/meditative dance to balance and calm the whole being, based on the TCM and the 5 Elements Philosophy.

Alva E Malka

In 2002 Alva graduated in Traditional Chinese Medicine (Acupuncture, Herbology and Tuina) in an incorporate study program between Reidman International College for Complementary and Integrative Medicine and Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in China.

During these 4 years of studies she was privileged to be exposed to many different methods of healing and therapies and took additional classes outside the TCM frame.
She has also graduated Shiatsu therapy and practised daily Qi Gong and meditation.

This led her to fall in love with Yoga, in particular Sivananda Yoga and that served as her teaching foundation.

In 2012, having practiced for 14 years in various  different styles of yoga including: Astanga, Jivamukti, Dharma Mittra, Bikram and many more,  she decided it was time to undertake some further training.

She the completed the Sun Power Yoga teacher training course with Anne-Marie Newland.
Sun Power Yoga is a wonderful fusion of three distinct forms and traditions:

  • The classical Sivananda yoga – Anne-Marie is a student of Swami Vishnu Devananda.
Sivananda yoga focuses on 5 points: proper exercise (Asana), proper breathing (Pranayama), proper relaxation, proper diet and positive thinking & meditation.
  • Astanga yoga – Sri K. Pattabhi Jois – Vinyasa or flow of movement and purification.
  • B.K.S Iyengar yoga – which is well known for the detailed alignment.

She now teaches her own style; a combination which is influenced by my many teachers and shares her practice with lovely people of south west London in the communities of Teddington and Kingston.

Her aim is to create a place where people can practice yoga and its many aspects at any level. A place where one can focus on one’s self and feel safe and capable to allow physical, emotional and spiritual growth.

Purnima believes that touch blesses our life from our birth on and can act as a powerful source of healing. She embraced meditation early in her life and received training from Ma Bodhigita in Brazil and later on, with the very creator of Ayurvedic Yoga Massage, Kusum Modak in India. She has been practicing and teaching this unique massage technique for 16 years, beginning in Brazil, and now here in London.

In spite of her extensive experience, Purnima embraces each massage with a renewed presence, using the breath to work in harmony with the rhythms of the body. She also performs Deep Tissue Massage, Rebirthing – Breathwork Therapy, Aromatherapy and Reiki. Her holistic treatments are an invitation to rejuvenate the body’s balance and vitality, with all the love and care that it deserves.
