“We have to change this world by celebrating, by dancing, by singing, by music, by meditation, by love, not by struggle.” Osho
Creating a nurturing space for self-enquiry, Erika will lead you through a carefully considered collection of practices to energise, inspire and uplift you.
Our busy, modern lifestyles can wreak havoc on our mental, emotional and physical health. The yoga practice can address all of these challenges in a way that can bring balance and calm back into our lives.
We will spend this weekend in deep self-care all in the name of positive change, engaging in a wide range of yoga practices which will leave you with practical tools, both physical and philosophical that you can carry with you into your life in a way that supports an ongoing and deep sense of well-being.
All levels of abilities will be expertly guided through meditation, breath work (pranayama), slow flow vinyasa yoga, kundalini yoga, restorative yoga, yoga nidra, voice/sound healing with vedic chanting and a very special Ceremonial singing circle on Saturday night incorporating prayer, mantras and medicine songs from around the world together with dear friends/musicians George Barker and Moshe Halperin.
In your free time you can enjoy walking in the gorgeous nature or ‘forest bathing’ (there are walking paths through the 700 acres of surrounding ancient forest), reading, napping or receiving a massage/treatment/facial of the highest quality (at an extra cost – please book in advance).

Erika’s eclectic style of teaching has evolved from a thirty year immersion in several different schools of yoga including; Iyengar, Shadow, Ashtanga, Sivananda and Kundalini; Zen and Vipassana meditation, studying with many of the world’s leading teachers.
She has been teaching for twenty years; in London’s top yoga centres for over seventeen years (at Triyoga since it opened), as well as leading retreats internationally and is known for her deep knowledge of yoga, openness, playfulness and strong spirit.
Erika has also been working as a bodywork therapist for over twenty five years. With an intuitive and respectful understanding of the body/mind, she is deeply passionate about natural healing. Her treatments draw on a wide range of healing modalities including deep tissue massage, face and foot reflexology, acupressure/shiatsu, craniosacral therapy, chi nei tsang (deep abdominal massage) and spiritual healing.
Erika designed a full range of face and body treatments for Bamford Spas (Daylesford) and became an International Spa Trainer for them a few years ago.
Erika spent several years (before she had her children) in Thailand fasting, studying meditation, buddhism and shiatsu, before moving to India for a year to continue her studies of yoga, meditation and philosophy.
For the last decade Erika has been exploring shamanic healing work with the Teacher Plants, as well as studying Taoist healing with a great world class master, Karin Sorvik. She is greatly inspired by Advaita Vedanta philosophy and the work of Ramana Maharishi, as well as the great buddhist masters such as HH The Dalai Lama, Jack Kornfield, Thich Nhat Hahn and Chogyam Trungpa.
Erika’s greatest joy is to hold the retreat space to offer a precious opportunity for people to experience a profound awakening through yoga using movement and stillness, sound and silence, challenge and relaxation in a soulful, nurturing environment. Erika is constantly inspired by the transformations that she has witnessed in the lives of people through the healing power of yoga and meditation.
She is supremely grateful to all her teachers, her husband, her two daughters, friends and family everywhere and especially Mother India, the Sun and Great Spirit.
“Erika is highly experienced in the full spectrum of yogic practices and in her classes she weaves a beautiful tapestry, moving seamlessly from one practice into another. Erika is one of the most creative yoga teachers I have ever met.”
Michelle Levi, Retreat Director
“Erika’s was my first ever retreat that I attended, even though I have been hosting retreats for 13 years & exploring yoga for 16 years. I was attracted as I experienced a few classes with her and felt immediately able to relax into my centre.
There is an art to holding the space which Erika does with such ease and grace. You can expect spontaneity as she knows how to flow moment by moment and she knows how to tune in and be completely present.
In these times of change & turbulence we need these experienced Yogi women to guide us back to ourselves, its essential for our well-being and the collective. I felt like a refreshed version of myself with some very clear insights and realisations which even though it was a few years ago I still feel the shift that happened for me. Her classes are medicine for the soul, deeply nurturing.”
Ishi, Yoga Magic Retreat (Goa) Owner
“Erika’s retreat is such a wonderful experience. She holds the group with a genuine and gentle sense of peace and calm, bringing her vast experience both spiritual and physical. I always come back feeling renewed and revitalised. ”
Katherine Clarke, Psychotherapist
“Erika’s treatments are extraordinary. She has been blessed with a gift and to my mind, is the best bodywork therapist I have ever had the good fortune of meeting. Her deeply healing and restorative sessions are definitely the best part of my visits to London.”
Carmen Busquets Founder/Investor, Net-A-Porter and CoutureLab
“Erika has been an integral part of my life for the last fifteen years. Her yoga classes are so varied and always spot on for what I need that day, as are her wonderful treatments. Our weekly sessions have been a lifeline for me to help dissolve stress and to keep me balanced and calm, strong and flexible.”
Tricia Guild OBE Founder and Creative Director, Designers Guild
As a Musician, Songwriter and Transpersonal Healer, George brings together the music, songs and healing practices of traditional Indigenous Shamanism with those of both the ancient Eastern mystical traditions and the modern transpersonal teachings of the West.
His work is suffused with the knowledge that a deep uncovering and reconnection with our Sacred Self and the love that lies within, is what allows our being to come into harmony and heal, gradually becoming a living expression of love, compassion and appreciative joy.
To this end, in his circles and group work we might find a mixture of prayer, music, song and dancing, interwoven with breath and energy work, meditation, yoga, dream-work, visualisations and plenty of laughter.
Moshe holds regular singing circles in London and Somerset with George Barker which have become a much sought after opportunity for friends to gather in Sacred Space for personal reflection and celebration.
Moshe has a deep love for, and connection to, the healing power of music and through his playing brings the quality of a deep healing vibration into the space.
Moshe is a songwriter and author and has experience of a very wide range of personal development training, transformational processes, optimal health, and healing modalities. He also consults as a coach and mentor to startup companies and founders.
