A space to experience yourself as nature
42 Acres was first conceived in 2015 by siblings Lara and Seth Tabatznik as a home for personal, social and environmental change after having been deeply inspired number of powerful personal retreats and workshops in their own lives. Including processes such as the Hoffman Process, Satori, and Non-Violent communication workshops. Both Seth and Lara are strong advocates that outer change in the world starts with the self, or to quote Gandhi; “Be the change that you wish to see in the world”.
At its core, 42 Acres continues to invite people to reconnect with nature, self and others but has now grown to offer so much more including a range of wellbeing and nature based experiences and events, a regenerative farm and an abundant nature reserve.
Retreats are places of personal refuge.
They are places to ask deep questions, to find answers, to decompress and discover meaning; places to dream, to learn, to grow, to rest – but, ultimately, retreats are places of self-love. They are dedicated places of permission.
We wanted to create such a space. A space that celebrated aliveness. A space that was influenced and inspired by the divine wisdom of nature. That was built on the principles of co-creation through living in harmony with self, nature and others.
It has always felt that when something wants to be birthed into the world, it finds a way. It finds the people through which to channel the creation. A painting, a song, a company, a child; 42 Acres was no exception.
Living within seven hundred acres of ancient forest, host to a variety of wild meadows and vast open fields and the source of four different rivers within a stone’s throw, we knew this was the place for planting our dreams.
In 2015, 42 Acres opened in Frome, Somerset.
For the interiors, we wanted understated luxury and timeless simplicity. On the land, we wanted to let nature flourish by designing a minimalist food system that holds foraging and agri-wilding at its centre.
As time has passed, and the land and trees have grown, so too has the vision. We are committed to continuing to develop 42 Acres to foster holistic ways of living that nurture people and the planet.
We look forward to welcoming you.
